SHElettaMakesMeLaugh.com started as an idea from Emmy award-winning comedian and radio host Sheletta Brundidge.
Aware of the serious lack of diversity in traditional media and frustrated by her own inability to find a seat at the table, she decided to build her own. In 2020. Sheletta created SHElettaMakesMeLaugh, a multi-media online platform with weekly podcasts.
With shows like JET Setting Divas, Life After Loss, DR Verna’s Virtues, the Diversity Dude and Becoming the Bank, Sheletta has given voice to a top notch group of BIPOC experts.
While continuing her role as a talk show host on WCCO Radio and a commentator on TPT’s Almanac, Sheletta has risen in stature as an influencer, social media phenomenon and activist for other small Black businesses.
With a journalism degree, a newsroom background and several stints as a standup, Sheletta straddles the worlds of public policy and comedy and is equally at home in both.
Sheletta was born in Texas and lived in several cities across the US before settling in the Twin Cities to raise her family.
